It has paved roads and central water system. Ideal for walkers and joggers. Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake. The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years. Occupancy limitations are determined by Bedford County and are based on the size of the homes septic system. For the purpose of this regulation, anyone over the age of two years is considered an occupant. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath 2-level home is located on a private wooded lot in Mountain View Shores. The large kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area and cozy living room are on the main level of the home. The living room has a TV w/ VCR and DVD player. All three bedrooms are on the main level (master bedroom has a TV), as well as 2 bathrooms. The lower level of the home has a third bathroom, TV with cable, VCR, foosball table, wet bar, 2nd refrigerator (2nd freezer space unavailable), and library stocked with books and games. A wood-burning fireplace on each level of the home for use during blue and green rate periods. High speed internet access! A gently sloping lot with lighted pathway leads to the dock, which has a covered boat slip w/hoist (22' max.), floater, electricity, lights, furniture and porch swing. A boat shaped sandbox is great for the kids. Canoe, fire pit and horse shoe pit by the water. Washer/Dryer, A/C, gas and charcoal grills.Bed Sizes: 2 Queen, 2 Twin, Sleep Sofa Items to bring: LINENS (towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillow cases) trash bags, paper goods (toilet tissue, paper towels), charcoal, detergent (dish & laundry), flashlight. Items NOT to bring: Pets, worries & stress. | CANCELLATION POLICY: If a reservation is cancelled with at least 60 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid rental deposit (less any pre-paid Travel Insurance fees) will be refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 60 days of your arrival date, no refunds will be issued.
