MOUNTAIN VIEW SHORES is a lovely development with many year-round homes, it features a private boat ramp area where you may park your boat trailer for the duration of your stay.  It has paved roads and central water system.  Ideal for walkers and joggers.  Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake.  The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years.

Red Rate-$1500.00 weekly, or $285 nightly 6/12/10-8/20/10
Green Rate-$1200.00 weekly or $225.00 nightly, 3/27/10-6/11/10 and 8/21/10-10/29/10
Blue Rate- $900.00 weekly or $175.00 nightly, 1/1/10-3/26/10 and 10/30/10-12/31/10

All homes are strictly limited to the number of occupants indicated.  Occupancy limitations are determined by Bedford County and are based on the size of the homes septic system.  For the purpose of this regulation, anyone over the age of two years is considered an occupant. 

Cedar chalet style home, 3 levels, located in a beautiful, natural setting. Pathway with stepping stones to stationary dock with floater, covered boat slip (hoist not available for tenant use), electricity and lights. Two lakeside decks. Dog Run/kennel measuring 12' X 6' X 6' located in the front yard.  Great room with cathedral ceilings and towering stone fireplace (wood-burning, available during blue & green rates only). Open loft and upstairs bedroom with 1 full size bed and bath. Main level bedroom with king, full bath. Lower level is finished and has a full sized sleeper that is located in the family room.  The newly renovated lower level bedroom offers a queen size bed.  2 TVs (25" & 27") with cable, VCR & DVD Player, high speed internet, foosball table, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and gas grill.

Bed Sizes:  Full, King, Queen, Sleeper Sofa

Items to bring: LINENS (towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillow cases) trash bags, paper goods (toilet tissue, paper towels), detergent (dish & laundry) flashlight.

**RENTALS ARE WEEKLY DURING PRIME SEASON (RED RATE) WITH TWO NIGHT MINIMUM ALL OTHER TIMES, EXCEPT 3 NIGHT MINIMUM ON HOLIDAYS. 

$200.00 SECURITY DEPOSIT PER WEEK RENTED AND $90.00 CLEANING FEE + 10% TAX ON RENT.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If a reservation is cancelled with at least 30 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid deposit will be fully refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of your arrival date and we are unable to re-rent the property, no refunds will be issued. 
If we are able to re-rent the property and secure the same monies for the property owner,
all monies paid by the canceling party will be refunded excluding 1/2 of the pre-paid deposit, which will serve as the cancellation fee.
