MOUNTAIN VIEW SHORES is a lovely development with many year-round homes, it features a private boat ramp area where you may park your boat trailer for the duration of your stay.  It has paved roads and central water system.  Ideal for walkers and joggers.  Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake.  The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years.

All homes are strictly limited to the number of occupants indicated.  Occupancy limitations are determined by Bedford County and are based on the size of the homes septic system.  For the purpose of this regulation, anyone over the age of two years is considered an occupant. 

Cedar chalet style home, 3 levels, located in a beautiful, natural setting. Pathway with stepping stones to stationary dock with floater, covered boat slip (hoist not available for tenant use), electricity and lights. Two lakeside decks. Small dog kennel located in the yard.  Great room with cathedral ceilings and towering stone fireplace (wood-burning, available during blue & green rates only). Open loft and upstairs bedroom with 1 full size bed and bath.  Main level bedroom with king size bed, full bath.  Lower level is finished and has a full sized sleeper sofa that is located in the family room.  The recently renovated lower level bedroom offers a queen size bed.  2 TVs w/DirecTV, VCR & DVD Player, high speed internet, foosball table, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Central A/C and gas grill.

Items to bring: LINENS (towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillow cases) trash bags, paper goods (toilet tissue, paper towels), detergent (dish & laundry) flashlight.

**RENTALS ARE WEEKLY DURING PRIME SEASON (RED RATE) WITH TWO NIGHT MINIMUM ALL OTHER TIMES, EXCEPT 3 NIGHT MINIMUM ON HOLIDAYS. $90.00 CLEANING FEE,

$50.00 ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE INSURANCE FEE, $50.00 PET FEE, 10% TAX ON RENT.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If a reservation is cancelled with at least 60 days prior notice, 1/2 of the pre-paid rental deposit (less any pre-paid Travel Insurance fees) will be refundable. If a reservation is cancelled within 60 days of your arrival date, no refunds will be issued.  We suggest each tenant take advantage of our Travel Insurance to protect your money paid in the event of an unexpected cancellation.
